English for Key Stages 2 and 3
Private tuition for 7-11 year olds and 11-16 year olds to support English literacy and other key skills needed for National Tests.
At Key Stage 2 special attention is given to:
Private tuition at this age supports work done in the school classroom, improves the child's general literacy skills and builds his/her confidence.
Individual learning support helps to achieve better results in National Tests and provides preparation for entry into secondary education.
At Key Stage 3 support is given with general literacy and writing skills. Preparation for GCSE is provided by practising examination skills and increasing awareness of what is required by examiners at this level.
It is normally found to be most effective if lessons are taken in 1 hour units on a regular weekly basis over a period of time. Long-term support (1 year+) may be needed by some children.
*The tutor is an edexcel marker for National Curriculum Tests in Key Stage 2 English and an OCR marker for GCSE English. *
